Isaac Whiteaker - MMA Coach
Isaac’s love for combat sports started at roughly the age of 14 when his dad decided to introduce him to a man by the name of Anderson Silva, showing off some of his greatest highlights. As anyone would after seeing a prime Silva absolutely dismantle everyone in style, Isaac quickly fell in love with combat sports and wanted nothing more than to train it in some way himself, although it took some convincing.
Starting in Brazilian jiu jitsu at the age of 15 at Gemina, the love only grew stronger and stronger and eventually he started Muay Thai as well. After taking a 2 year break from the sport in 2022, he was enticed back in by Ethan Reynolds to come in and help grow Gemina’s up and coming MMA team.
Isaac’s approach to coaching is very technical, believing that if you don’t understand why you need to do something a certain way, you don’t fully understand how it needs to be done. Isaac encourages light, technical and fun sparring sessions, believing that true progression comes from being given the chance to implement new things against a live partner.
