Josh’s martial arts journey began after spending most of his early years playing high-level baseball across Western Australia. After being introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by a friend, he quickly developed a passion for the sport and never looked back.
Now a Brown Belt with over 12 years of experience on the mats, Josh has developed a pressure-heavy, control-based style that focuses on dominating positions and slowly breaking down opponents. His philosophy is simple "every inch your opponent gives you is a gift that you definitely won’t be giving back."
While known for his suffocating top game and positional control, Josh also enjoys dabbling in the "dark arts" of leg locks. has a particular love for leg locks and isn’t shy about “stealing a few heels” along the way to add to his growing collection.
